Rosi Landau
Rosi is fascinated by human movement. She enjoys running, swimming, cycling, tennis, volleyball, rock climbing and weightlifting. She has participated in the Boston and New York City marathons and completed two full Ironman triathlons. She discovered Pilates in 2005 while searching for relief from a back spasm. She became fascinated with its healing power and completed her first Pilates Equipment and Mat Certification at the Moving Body, in Woodstock, NY in 2007 using the Kane School approach which combines the classic principles of Pilates with a modern, clinical perspective of the body. While at the Moving Body, she also discovered the GYROTONIC® method, which seemed a natural progression in her study of human movement. Rosi completed her GYROTONIC® certification in 2008 and was subsequently certified in the GYROKINESIS® method and all other specialized GYROTONIC® exercise equipment. In 2018 she completed the Pilates for Neuromuscular Conditions course with Meghan Koppele, in 2019 she completed a second Pilates certification at Kinected in New York City and in 2025 she completed the Buff Bones® certification with Rebekah Rootstein in New York City. Over the years she has had the opportunity to study with Irene Dowd, Kelly Kane, Allan Herman, Debra Goodman and Erin Franklin. Her extensive training and knowledge of human movement has allowed her to work with clients of all ages, backgrounds, levels and ability. In 2010 Rosi opened up her own Studio and for the past 18 years she has been teaching in the beautiful town of Rosendale, NY in the Hudson Valley. She loves sharing her enthusiasm for physical education; helping her clients gain greater strength, flexibility and mobility; and guiding them to work towards their full physical capability.

In 2010, Rosibel Landau followed her heart and opened a Pilates studio in the charming village of Rosendale, NY, inspired by her deep love for movement and a desire to share it with the Hudson Valley community. A few years later, in 2013, her sister Magda Toro joined her on this journey, turning Rosi’s dream into a shared mission rooted in care, connection, and wellness. In 2025, their vision continued to grow as they opened a second studio in New Paltz, NY.

“Chris has been the first person to give me a feeling of control over how my body feels each day. From the very first lesson, she inspired trust and confidence in her approach. She has a deep understanding of body mechanics, but never gets ahead of what my body is able to do. There’s no such thing as a panacea for back problems, but if you’re willing to put in the work, Chris is the closest thing to it.” – Unsu Lee, Bay Area filmmaker
